What SaveTheCreators Is
SaveTheCreators is a project of Distributed Creatives, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. SaveTheCreators provides a framework for collective action that preserves individual independence, serving as a bridge between creative disciplines and coordinating with advocacy organizations to build a unified front against extraction. The organization exists to keep creators at the table — connecting research, advocacy partners, and industry leaders so that creators can push for fair treatment and more equitable platforms.
The Evidence Base
The Hub aggregates advocacy evidence across 43 creative disciplines and 521 evidence items organized across five challenge pillars. This evidence base is a shared resource — it exists to support the entire creator advocacy ecosystem, not just SaveTheCreators.
SaveTheCreators positions as a collaborative ally to existing advocacy organizations (SAG-AFTRA, ASCAP/BMI, Authors Guild, WGA, IGDA, PEN America, EFF, and others), not a competitor. The Hub serves the same coordinating function that the Linux Foundation does for open-source projects — central coordination, directory, research, and community membership.
Partnership Pathways
We work with creator organizations of all sizes to strengthen the advocacy ecosystem. Our partnership model is collaborative, not transactional—we’re building shared infrastructure that benefits the entire creative community.
Formal partnership tiers with specific benefits and pricing will launch once work groups are established. In the meantime, we’re open to conversations with any organization aligned with our mission.

The Nonprofit Model
Distributed Creatives is structured as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The organization builds digital infrastructure for the creative economy as a public good, not a commercial venture. This nonprofit status is fundamental to its mission — the infrastructure exists to prevent extraction, fund advocacy, and preserve creative legacies.
